Bio:

Meet Daniel! Originally from Michigan, Daniel was born just outside Detroit and spent his teenage years in Flint. On a whim, and just before the water crisis, he moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 2010. A couple of years later, he relocated to Nashville, where he has seen the city evolve and truly feels at home.

He began his hair journey at 13, though he didn’t really hit his stride until age 16, cutting family hair out of necessity. Professionally, he has been in the industry since 2011, working with the same salon company for over a decade. He holds dual licenses as a cosmetologist and master barber, which allows him to work with any hair type and ensure everyone looks and feels their best.

Passionate about creating beachy balayage, bright blonde and silver hues, and textured cuts that bring out natural movement, he loves helping clients achieve their desired look and empowering them with the knowledge to style their hair at home. His must-have products include Kevin Murphy’s Young Again for its lightweight moisture and R+Co’s Dallas for added volume, with a preference for nature-based products.

What he loves most about his job is the opportunity to be a part of his clients’ lives, sharing in their joys and challenges. It’s an honor to experience their personal stories and contribute to their sense of beauty and confidence. His favorite hair education experiences include a balayage certification with L’Oréal Professional Academy, a cutting class with Travis Parker, and a unique stint at barber college while working in a Greenhill salon.

The motto "You Are OK." holds a special place in his heart. It guided him to Local Honey during the pandemic when he began to focus seriously on his mental health. This motto serves as a daily reminder that, no matter the circumstances, we’re all okay and will make it through together if we support one another.
